CDA Candidate Info
Welcome CDA Candidates and Child Care Professionals
The Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) is a credential currently offered primarily in the United States by the Council for Professional Recognition. The credential is based on a core set of competency standards that guide early care professionals as they work toward becoming qualified teachers of young children. ACEI was a member of the original CDA consortium that helped to develop the CDA many years ago and continues to support those who teach and care for young children.
ACEI's Basic membership for only $30.00 per year offers many resources and benefits for CDA Candidates and those who care for young children. One of these resources is the Early Years Bulletin, an ACEI publication that offers information for professionals on teaching and caring for children ages 0-6.
Basic members also receive 6 free hours of online training through Child Care Education Institute (CCEI). Online training is available in English and Spanish. Click here to sign up. You must have your ACEI Membership number to be eligible for the 6 free hours.
