Advancing Childhood Education Through Diplomacy
Education Diplomacy is an emerging concept being shaped by ACEI that recognizes the need for educators and education advocates to employ sensitivity, insight, dialogue, and knowledge—the skills of diplomacy—to develop beneficial, progressive, and sustainable solutions to education challenges. The education, development, and well-being of children have profound impact on the social and economic trajectory of all nations. As a tool for change, it encourages education professionals to become effective catalysts for global education reform, improvements, and advancement—acting as Education Diplomats.

Although the primary focus of the Institute is on the knowledge and skills that help educators to resolve global education challenges, these challenges ultimately are experienced at the community level. The application of education diplomacy is relevant, therefore, within both global and local contexts, whether working internationally or resolving education challenges in one's own nation or community.
The Institute will be a valuable experience for all individuals engaged in the education of children, from large-scale international projects to work within their local communities. At any level of engagement, professionals will find the skills of education diplomacy to be helpful in moving forward a meaningful and effective agenda for education.
