Education for Global Peace

Educating Peacebuilders

Persons become peacebuilders when they have been trained—educated—in the ways of peace, when they learn what peace is and how violence is defeated, and when they learn how to make conflict constructive rather than destructive. Very young children can be taught the ways of peace, and that educational process should never end. Martin Luther King, Jr. famously said that “the moral arc of the universe bends toward justice.” The world needs people who will do that bending, people who have been educated to become peacebuilders.

Education for Global Peace (EGP) is an organization, a community, and an approach that works to bend the arc toward justice and peace.
